Daytona parks

Aside from its internationally known speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida, is also a resort area that's well-known for its scenic beaches. Located on the eastern Atlantic coast of northern Florida, Daytona's location and subtropical climate foster an active, outdoors-loving lifestyle, and most of its parks are located extremely close to the beach. Daytona's parks provide recreational areas for family get-togethers, cultural festivals, community events and sports, in addition to providing picturesque picnic spots. A great way of seeing Daytona is with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Charter Bus Fort Lauderdale.
Sun Splash Park is Daytona Beach's quintessential beachfront park, located on the popular South Atlantic Avenue at Revilo Boulevard, on the Daytona Shore. Open from dusk until dawn, this four-acre park provides an entertaining place for children, with its numerous computerized fountains that shoot water from the ground. Children can also escape the sun's rays in an adjacent sheltered playground.  Sun Splash features decorative walkways and covered and uncovered picnic areas, as well as its Coca-Cola-sponsored "cool zone," with shade, snacks and cold beverages. Outdoor showers, restrooms, and off-beach parking is available for Fort Lauderdale charter bus visitors. A short trip down one of the park's two stairwells leads visitors to the beach.
Frank Rendon Park is one of Daytona’s beloved beachfront parks, named after an influential local community activist. Celebrating a three-acre $850,000 addition in 2003, the park has a number of features suitable for family recreation and charter bus visitors, including a children’s playground with a padded floor, sheltered picnic areas with grills, wooden boardwalks and observation decks. Frank Rendon Park is also peppered with restrooms, outdoor showers and water fountains.  This park is located about two miles charter bus ride north of Daytona’s popular Dunlawton Boulevard, on South Atlantic Avenue of the Daytona shore. Beach wheels, off-street parking and wheelchair accessible walkways are available.
Breakers Oceanfront Park, located a short charter bus ride south of Daytona’s Main Street Pier on Atlantic Avenue, enjoyed grand re-opening celebrations in April 2008, after it received $3.2 million in redevelopment funds. Designed to attract younger, active charter bus visitors, this park features a number of volleyball courts in full view of the beach. The park also features a playground, outdoor showers, restrooms, picnic areas and a children’s fountain, in addition to a number of biking and jogging trails. Breakers Oceanfront Park also houses an environmental learning center, patterned after New Smyrna Beach’s Marine Discovery Center.
