Bringing Out The Adrenaline-Junkie in You

Adrenaline-charged Fort Lauderdale charter bus trips are completely possible....all you need to do is to find the right things to do at the right time. Our travel junkie writers, some are self-proclaimed adventure junkies, have a really funny way of finding fun things to do whenever they get the chance to visit Fort Lauderdale, whether they are backpacking the trip or heading over in a large group.
And first thing off our mind would be to take the rented Fort Lauderdale bus charter to a place called Xtreme Indoor Carting. Judging by the name, one would know what to expect when you are there...hard and fast bashing of bumper cars galore and endless rounds of affordable fun. On top of go-carting and bumper cars, our Fort Lauderdale charter bus, shuttle bus, passenger coach, mini bus or school bus customers will also take some time for running around in the laser tag arena or hitting a few rounds of home runs in the batting cages. And if they are not tired out by then, there is always the tamer game miniature golf to enjoy.
Dania Beach, according to Tim, our adventure-junkie, has the best roller coaster on this part of the country because here is where you can find Hurricane Roller Coaster which measures up to one hundred feet in the air. If traveling at 55 miles at full speed doesn’t take your breath away, we don’t know what will. Some said that the speed and force of the roller coaster borders on challenging your 3G tolerance. Exciting times ahead.
If you are bringing kids with your during your Fort Lauderdale charter bus trip, we think you might want to include making a pitstop at Laser Fun Zone for half a day of fun. Boasting of new facility, clean amenities and state of the art family entertainment, Laser Fun Zone’s located conveniently at Coral SPrings. This Fort Lauderdale shuttle bus entertainment center features more than five thousand square foot worth of laser tagging arena. Need a space for a party or a birthday bash....or just a team building event for your staff? No problem, there are ten private party rooms and a huge discount for group bookings awaiting you. Christine’s Congo Cafe is a full service restaurant that has been around and seen much of what they can contribute to your party, so we are sure your party is in good hands when you make your way there.
So, thumbs up to all of you Fort Lauderdale charter bus travelers, we hope you visit some of these outfits soon and have the time of your life. We look forward to hearing from you if you are in need of ground transportation in Fort Lauderdale.

Joe Picasso’s

They say that when one is stressed out, it does the mind, soul and body good to release all the tension through creativity. While we are not so sure if that works, but we do know that spending time with friends or your loved ones creating your own art piece at Joe Picasso’s would be quite a fun thing to do together. Don’t be too intimidated with the name “Picasso” because you don’t have to be an artist just like Picasso in order to be able to walk into their store to create your own masterpiece. If you are already getting curious what it is like to let loose your creativity at Joe Picasso’s, well, you can have your questions answered when you charter a Fort Lauderdale bus and head on over to this unique place with your friends.

Fun is the word for those who come to Joe Picasso’s – because at Joe Picasso’s, you are the artist. You get to choose what you want to create and they will assist you whenever you are not so sure. But, at the end of the day, your artwork is your very own creation. By the way, if this is your first ever trip here with your friends in the Fort Lauderdale charter bus, you have to know that Joe Picasso’s is not just an “artist center” but it is a place where they combine art and F&B altogether. While you are busy creating your very own masterpiece, you can also enjoy the process with a cup of coffee or tea and snacks. From pottery making to pottery painting and mosaic artworks, you can choose your preference and work your creative juice away. While they don’t reservations, the place is only open for kids on Tuesday every week – which is what they call their weekly Kids Camp.

If you happen to have ten or more people in your group going to Joe Picasso’s in the Fort Lauderdale charter bus, you can even request to use their private room. You may also want to know that once you are done with your masterpiece, you may not be able to bring it home with you immediately as the paint needs to dry completely and then the staff at Joe Picasso’s will dip it in glaze and allow it to dry before they place it in the kiln for it to fire properly and cool down. The whole process takes more than a day. But don’t panic, once your masterpiece is ready, you can either opt to pick it up on your own or have it shipped to you.

Fun on land and sea!

Have you ever thought how wonderful it would be to be able to plan a trip where you don’t have to do all the driving, finding the locations of the places to visit and yes, the dreaded part of the trip – finding a place to park? Did you know that if you are planning a trip to Fort Lauderdale, you can actually enjoy the service of a charter bus and not worry about driving, finding the place and parking at all? If you have never done such a thing before, well, it is about time you consider a trip with the service of a charter bus so that you get to fully enjoy the whole trip!

One way to explore Fort Lauderdale would be to take a tour on the Water Taxi and you will find it right at 413 SW 3rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, where you and your friends or family members can arrive in a Fort Lauderdale charter bus. The fun part of this trip is the privilege of not driving and the joy of being chauffeured to the desired location – something that you probably have never done before. In addition to that, when you and your entourage arrive at Water Taxi, all of you will get to hop on a boat and start sailing away – well, not exactly like that, but you know what we mean. However, please bear in mind that it is not a speed boat, so don’t expect the trip to end in just minutes.

The great thing about taking a water taxi to tour around Fort Lauderdale is that the ticket that you buy allows you all-day on and off stops at 16 locations, with savings at restaurants and attractions at every stop. Having earned the nickname “The Venice of America”, surely you can imagine the beauty of the views as you ride on the water taxi. The tour guides are fun, friendly and enthusiastic and they encourage their guests to have as much as possible while riding on the water taxis. If you like a party-like kind of atmosphere, that’s exactly what the water taxi tour guides good at! You also get to choose which spot you want to get down and walk around and then catch a return water taxi. However, be sure to find out the timing or the schedule of the return time of the water taxi so that you will not be left behind; or else your Fort Lauderdale chartered bus driver may be wondering what has happened to his passengers when he arrives at the pickup point and does not see any of you.

Antique Car Museum, Fort Lauderdale

Antique car lovers would never mind traveling to places to check out antique car museums all over the country. Some are so crazy and mad about antique cars that they would travel overseas if they found out if there are museums or exhibitions overseas too! However, even if you are not an ardent fan of antique cars, it is always still an eye opening experience to check out the antique car museums once a while. At Fort Lauderdale, our charter bus service can bring you and your friends for a visit to the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum – a place not to be missed when you are in this part of the country.

The Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum was founded by Arthur O. Stone, who used to own a floral company and this museum has a wide collection of pre-war Packard automobiles as well as other mementos. Mr Arthur O. Stone himself is also known to be an automobile enthusiast. Most of our Fort Lauderdale charter bus passengers to this museum always have much praises to speak of this museum and it is always the pleasure of our bus drivers to send visitors to this place.

A casual and leisure walk through the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum takes about two to three hours, so it would be a good idea to charter one of our buses to the museum, so that you won’t have to feel tired driving and looking for a parking spot that the thought of walking a couple of hours at the museum would seem like the last thing that you would want to do.

Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum is a showroom of a fleet of Packard’s motor cars between the 1900s right through 1940s – and they are all in working order too! Unfortunately, visitors to the museum will not have the opportunity to “test drive” any of these cars – they are in the museum as exhibits only. Among the collection of antique cars, you will also find that they have on display a delivery van, fire truck, paddy wagon and a hearse too. We are quite sure that on your way to the museum in our chartered bus, the bus driver would have already shared a little about the museum in much excitement!

If you have brought along your camera with you on the trip, please take note that in the museum, you are allowed to take photos but without a flash. And if you would like to have a group photo before you leave the grounds of the museum, our Fort Lauderdale chartered bus driver will be more than glad to double up as a photographer for that moment.

Daytona parks

Aside from its internationally known speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida, is also a resort area that's well-known for its scenic beaches. Located on the eastern Atlantic coast of northern Florida, Daytona's location and subtropical climate foster an active, outdoors-loving lifestyle, and most of its parks are located extremely close to the beach. Daytona's parks provide recreational areas for family get-togethers, cultural festivals, community events and sports, in addition to providing picturesque picnic spots. A great way of seeing Daytona is with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Charter Bus Fort Lauderdale.
Sun Splash Park is Daytona Beach's quintessential beachfront park, located on the popular South Atlantic Avenue at Revilo Boulevard, on the Daytona Shore. Open from dusk until dawn, this four-acre park provides an entertaining place for children, with its numerous computerized fountains that shoot water from the ground. Children can also escape the sun's rays in an adjacent sheltered playground.  Sun Splash features decorative walkways and covered and uncovered picnic areas, as well as its Coca-Cola-sponsored "cool zone," with shade, snacks and cold beverages. Outdoor showers, restrooms, and off-beach parking is available for Fort Lauderdale charter bus visitors. A short trip down one of the park's two stairwells leads visitors to the beach.
Frank Rendon Park is one of Daytona’s beloved beachfront parks, named after an influential local community activist. Celebrating a three-acre $850,000 addition in 2003, the park has a number of features suitable for family recreation and charter bus visitors, including a children’s playground with a padded floor, sheltered picnic areas with grills, wooden boardwalks and observation decks. Frank Rendon Park is also peppered with restrooms, outdoor showers and water fountains.  This park is located about two miles charter bus ride north of Daytona’s popular Dunlawton Boulevard, on South Atlantic Avenue of the Daytona shore. Beach wheels, off-street parking and wheelchair accessible walkways are available.
Breakers Oceanfront Park, located a short charter bus ride south of Daytona’s Main Street Pier on Atlantic Avenue, enjoyed grand re-opening celebrations in April 2008, after it received $3.2 million in redevelopment funds. Designed to attract younger, active charter bus visitors, this park features a number of volleyball courts in full view of the beach. The park also features a playground, outdoor showers, restrooms, picnic areas and a children’s fountain, in addition to a number of biking and jogging trails. Breakers Oceanfront Park also houses an environmental learning center, patterned after New Smyrna Beach’s Marine Discovery Center.

Food in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, sees a high transient population, from the tourists and boaters who drop by to sample the charms of this South Florida city. Getting around Fort Lauderdale is easy with a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Charter Bus Fort Lauderdale. Take a charter bus and tour of some of Fort Lauderdale’s best places for eating out. Your reliable, friendly charter bus driver will be more than happy to take you and your group where you need to go in your fully equipped, stylish and comfortable charter bus.
Ever popular with locals, charter bus tourists and the yachting crowd is the Grill 66. Located at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, this restaurant offers awesome views of Fort Lauderdale’s harbor. The menu is split into 2, with one side having traditional offerings such as steakhouse cuts of Prime beef, hefty pork and lamb chops, along with predictable à la carte sides, with the other side of the menu offering the chef’s creative daily specials, focusing on high quality though not predominantly regional seafood, plus Italian-inspired veal, pork, chicken and pasta dishes. The desserts rotate regularly, with seasonal fruits being featured. The wine list is comprehensive, and wide, but adequate description of the wines will ensure that charter bus diners will make the correct selection to complement their meal.
Not just another steakhouse, Shula’s on the Beach is a good place for the charter bus visitor to get away from the heat and pressures of the city for a while. Located directly across the street from the beach, which differentiates it from the other Shula restaurants in Florida, Shula’s on the Beach is popular with vacationers and charter bus diners looking for a unique Florida dining experience.  Carts bearing cuts of meat are wheeled directly to your table, allowing you to choose your cut, and how you wish for it to be prepared. In case you are undecided, or unsure, let the friendly wait staff guide you with the menu choices, and suggest suitable side dishes and salads. Then settle back into the high backed leather chair while your meat is cooked, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and ocean views from the outdoor terrace.
At Truluck’s Seafood they pride themselves on never serving seafood that is frozen, and this is achieved by the owner of Truluck’s having his own fishing fleet. Take your charter bus down to Fort Lauderdale and dine at this upscale but affordable family owned seafood steakhouse. Freshness of the seafood is guaranteed, with 24 hours between the catch leaving the sea to being served at your table. The seafood menu changes weekly, but regional catches like black grouper, dayboat mahi mahi, or perhaps redfish are cut in-house from whole fish, to ensure freshness. There are steaks on the menu, but that isn’t why Truluck’s is such a hit with charter bus diners. Fresh seafood is the order of the day, and regulars simply won’t have it any other way.

If you’ve wanted to get away from the humdrum of every day life, Fort Lauderdale is one of those places that has everything you need to have the perfect getaway. So either hop on a plane or get on a charter bus to experience fun in the sun that never stops.
Where The Boys Are, the 1960’s movies, has made it so that Fort Lauderdale can never be separated from the sun-kissed fun of spring break. Many never leave the promenade, to enjoy the signature white wave wall and Las Olas Boulevard, which happens to be the Rodea Drive of Fort Lauderdale. But if you want more than simple lounging and tanning, you can experience the city’s rich cultural heritage by touring elegant 1920’s bungalows along Sailboat Bend, which also houses lovely Jamaican and Brazilian restaurants.
As the second busiest cruise port in the world, you will be brushing shoulders with people from all over the world, giving your holiday a truly international feel. You’ll be able to have some great people-watching sessions while eating Bimini bread in locals-only joints or have a gander at wild Brazilian squirrel monkeys as they scamper through lush estates.
If you’re the type that loves shopping, you’ll be able to visit Florida’s most extensive designer outlet mall, with some 300 shops that is situated atop Wannado City, an interactive play city for kids. So if you’re bringing family along, park the kids at a great place to entertain themselves while you shop.
For history buffs don’t forget to visit the 1921 Caribbean-style plantation that also served as winter studios for artists Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett. It has a whimsical 35-acre spread, complete with swans and ornate murals. The Bonnet House & Musuem Gardens is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
